The vineyard parcels benefit from a rather special presence: a flock of sheep moving through the rows. Their passage naturally weeds the parcels as they feed on the grass growing between the rows.

This method limits the need for mechanical intervention while preserving soil structure. As they move through the vines, the sheep also help fertilize the soil naturally, contributing to the biological balance of the vineyard.

A gesture for biodiversity

This practice is part of the attention we give to soil life and to the ecosystem surrounding each parcel. At Bastide Blanche, every vineyard decision is made to accompany the vine in the most natural way possible.

The vine is healthier when it lives in harmony with what surrounds it.

Alongside mechanical and manual work, the presence of sheep is a gentle, effective and environmentally respectful solution, fully consistent with our commitment to certified organic farming and Biodyvin.

Herbal Infusions
